Examples of studies, simulations and calculations

1st example: evaluation of the impact of material parameters on acoustic insulation and impact noise performance

  • Step one: assess the calculation model the most suitable. An analysis of the construction system, a state of the art and client reports made it possible to define the use of a Transfer Matrix Method calculation model with homogenization.
  • Second step : model construction and its recalibration with the tests, creation of the diagram opposite.
  • Third step : extrapolations to evaluate the most suitable configuration for validation testing.

    The model allowed the client to extrapolate to other products andavoid costly testing !

2rd example: Structural characterization to ensure dynamic stiffness before installing a machine

  • Customer Need: On a prototype hardware, the customer wanted to ensure that the dynamic stiffness of the structure is sufficient to decouple the air conditioning unit on its vehicle
  • Production : After analysis with the client, realization of impact vibration measurements in order to evaluate the transfer function between force (impact) and acceleration measured with several accelerometers.
  • Full report to validate the structure + recommendations on the suspension stiffnesses to use

3nd example: Bus test campaign

  • Customer Need: Test campaign in dynamic and static on a bus
  • Production: Based on the analysis of the Specifications from the customer, carrying out static measurements (interior and exterior noise) and dynamic measurements (during braking, acceleration and at constant speed)
  • Equipment used: Several microphones in parallel, photoelectric sensor for detection of passage and calculation of speed, GPS synchronized with the microphones
